Du’aa (1)

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatoh
A beautiful du'aa from the opening of The Four Fundamental Principles (القواعد الأربعة) by Shaikh Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhaab (رحمه الله):
|
I ask Allaah, the Noble Lord of the Great Throne that He be your protector in this world and the Hereafter; and that He makes you blessed wherever you are; and that He makes you of those (people) who when given, are thankful; and when tested, are patient; and when they sin, they repent. And verily these three are the keys to Happiness.

How are you with the Qur’aan?

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatoh
Allaah sub7aanahu wa ta'aalaa says in the Qur'aan:
|
"And We have indeed made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?" (Al-Qamar 54:17)
In his tafseer, ash-Shaykh as-Sa'dee rahimahullaah explains how Allaah ta'aalaa has made the Qur'aan easy: its words easy for memorization and recitation, and its meanings easy for understanding and learning. "Therefore, the science(s) of Qur'aan – in terms of memorization and tafseer – is the easiest of sciences and the most venerated without exception. It is the type of beneficial knowledge which, if sought by the servant, (he) will be assisted with." [Own 'Rough' Translation]
Elsewhere in the Qur'aan, Allaah sub7aanahu says:
|
"And the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Qur'ân (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders)."(Al-Furqan 25:30)
Sub7aanallaah. Allaah sub7aanahu wa ta'aalaa made this Qur'aan easy for those who seek to recite it, learn it, and apply it…yet…it is deserted. Enough said.
We ask Allaah ta'aalaa to make us among al-Muddakireen. Ameen.
